The classic Renaissance design of the structure is a source of pride for Belfast inhabitants, and it’s simple to understand why. Beautiful stained glass windows portray Celtic myths and stories, such as the Cattle Raid of Cooley, as well as victims of the Great Famine and those who fought in the First and Second World Wars.
To the east, the Titanic Memorial Garden contains bronze plaques engraved with the names of the 1,512 people who perished on board the ship of dreams.
