Belfast Zoo is a zoological park located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The 55-acre zoo grounds are home to around 1,000 animals and 150 kinds. The majority of our animals are endangered in their native environment. The zoo also contributes to significant conservation initiatives and takes part in European and global breeding programmes that help to ensure the survival of many endangered species. With over 300,000 visitors each year, Belfast Zoo is one of Northern Ireland’s most popular fee-paying tourist attractions.
