The Downpatrick and County Down Railway travels through the drumlin landscape of County Down, St. Patrick’s Country, crosses the River Quoile, and passes beneath the magnificent Down Cathedral. With a mix of steam and diesel trains, as well as historic carriages, there’s something for train enthusiasts of all ages, from tiny toddlers to “big kids.” You get free transportation as a member of the club, which is managed exclusively by volunteers.
