On Monday, September 22nd, 1986, Alderman P. D. Robinson MP, Mayor of Castlereagh, officially inaugurated the Dundonald International Ice Bowl. Castlereagh Borough Council owns and operates the facility, which was and continues to be Northern Ireland’s sole public Olympic-size ice rink.
A one-of-a-kind item. There aren’t many activities that mix ice skating with bowling.
