Glenarm Castle has been the ancestral home of the McDonnell family, Earls of Antrim, since Randal, 1st Earl of Antrim built it in the 17th century. The present Earl of Antrim is Alexander McDonnell, 14th Earl of Antrim. The Castle is now home to Lord Antrim’s son Randal, Viscount Dunluce, his wife Aurora, and their two children.
