This 153rd installation of Lisburn’s Balmoral Show will take place from Wednesday 11th May to Saturday 14th May at Balmoral Park. With only 10-minute drive from Belfast, and a variety of events and festivals, this show is not to be missed.

Show Features

Livestock Competitions

The Balmoral Show gathers the best cattle in the world, all vying for the coveted red rosettes and famous Balmoral Championship awards. The expertise and diversity on exhibit in Northern Ireland are unsurpassed, with hundreds of classes for a range of farm animals ranging from cattle, sheep, pigs, and goats to poultry and rabbits.

Show Jumping

This year’s Balmoral Show will include a complete showjumping schedule, including the reintroduction of International Showjumping.

Healthy Horticulture

Meet the fruit and vegetable farmers of Northern Ireland, learn about social farming, and discover how horticulture benefits our physical health, mental health, and wellbeing, as well as the environment, at the Horticulture Forum marquee.

The Food Pavilion

Check out the delicious food and drink sourced in the local the area in the NI Food Pavilion.

Sheep Shearing

Come observe the different shearing and wool handling events that will take place in the Shearing Pavilion over the course of the four days. It’s fast-paced, thrilling, and fiercely competitive. The Six Nations Machine Shearing Championships will be held at the Show this year.

Fun Fair

Youc can find the ever-popular Fun Fair, which is full with attractions and activities to delight people of all ages, is located next to the Eikon Exhibition Centre (Shopping Village).

Some other main features of the Show include: Trade Stands, Walkabout Acts, The Young Farmer’s Club Ulster (YFCU), and a Children’s farm.

The Downtown Show Stage

Over the course of the 4 days, the Balmoral Show will be hosting a range of live onstage events such as Live Radio Shows, their very own ‘Downtown Stage Presents’, and ‘Downtown Country Road Show.’

Celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

This year’s Balmoral Show is extra special. For their 153rd Anniversary, The Balmoral Show is partnering up with Ulster Bank, and the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
